More Info +Established in 1995 as a family-owned enterprise, Gorham Bike and Ski has emerged as one of Maine’s premier dealers and service providers for cyclists, skiers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all levels. Renowned for their unparalleled customer service, Gorham Bike and Ski has earned accolades such as being recognized by the National Bike Dealers Association and named one of America’s Best Bike Ski Shops.
With a footprint spanning five locations across New England, Owner Jamie Wright enlisted the expertise of M.W. Hoss to embark on planning for their sixth location in Saco, Maine. Collaborating closely with Linda Braley of Braley Designs, the team devised a comprehensive plan that entailed the demolition of the existing structure.
To expedite the construction timeline, M.W. Hoss partnered with Hancock Lumber to leverage prefabricated wall panels. Constructed indoors under controlled conditions, these panels ensure an exceptionally high level of quality and efficiency. By adopting Hancock's trusted approach, the team successfully fast-tracked the project, circumventing the challenges posed by winter conditions.
The new stand-alone retail and service center boasts ample parking, ADA accessibility, and a storefront envelope designed to maximize natural lighting. M.W. Hoss fostered a cohesive and collaborative environment wherein subcontractors, suppliers, and designers worked seamlessly together to deliver the project in less than 5 months.
